Retrofit
package for the XS Coiling Machine
The XS Machine has
for many years been a well appreciated workhorse
in the industry to produce primary coil
filaments for incandescent lamps.
A weak point of
this reliable high speed coiler has always been
the oil lubrication. The high coiling speed has
lead to an oil dust which affects the labour and
contaminates the coils with oil.
Based on the
experience with the grease lubrication on the PC
coiling machine Montena has developed a retrofit
package, which allows to make the XS machine oil
free.
The retrofit
package for the XS coiler consists of:
- Gear drive
adapted to grease lubrication
- Coiling head
design adapted to grease lubrication.
Advantage of the
retrofit package:
- Better coil
quality, no oil contamination
- Better working
conditions, no oil dust
- Less
maintenance
- Lower cost, no
cleaning of the coils required.
